NHS Training for Innovation
Improving patient care and safety by ensuring best practice in healthcare technology training.
Our projects draw on NHS expertise to create low-cost, high-impact training tools to improve patient safety, clinical team work and the effective use of medical devices. These range from complete e-learning packages and DVDs, to concise booklets and single-page guides for patients and staff. Through our extensive stakeholder network, including professional and academic bodies and medical device companies, we share knowledge and best practice.New name unveiled
At our 5th stakeholder workshop in March 2009, we officially unveiled our new name - NHS Training for Innovation.
It replaces our old name, THOTH - it's clearer and conveys more succinctly what we're about.
NHS medical device training goes online
Training for Innovation's ground-breaking project is launched to create an NHS e-learning platform for medical devices.
“For new medical technologies, we will simplify the pathway by which they pass from development into wider use, and develop ways to benchmark and monitor uptake…training needs to change to enable staff to respond more effectively and flexibly to this dynamic environment...”
Health Minister Lord Darzi, Training for Innovation founding chairman.
