Services
Professions that need to acquire new skills, maintain competency and comply with industry standards to ensure effective and safe service delivery are increasingly focusing on distance learning. The medical profession is no exception.
Integrated e-learning allows training to be tailored to personal needs and enables self-paced, on-demand education. In medicine we see a clear trend away from apprenticeship to self-paced learning using standardised learning packages.
Collaboration on training development between clinical institutions and manufacturers is increasing in line with the rapid progress in healthcare technology.
Training for Innovation (TFI) helps facilitate the flow of information among educational specialists, healthcare providers, medical device manufacturers and ITC industries. It supports manufacturers by developing cost-effective, high efficiency training programmes for their new products.
We actively encourage contributions from throughout the NHS on new ideas for developing innovative training tools.
